Belle Plaine at Le Sueur-Henderson
5 p.m., Tuesday, April 21

These Minnesota River Conference teams are fighting to keep perfect records intact.

With junior ace Carlie Brandt in the pitcher's circle, Le Sueur-Henderson has surrendered just one run through three games this season. Brandt has struck out 40 batters, including 20 in a no-hitter against Mayer Lutheran on April 14.

While Belle Plaine may not have the defensive tenacity of the Giants, it has the more prolific offense, outscoring opponents 15-5 in its last two games. After losing just one senior from last season's 15-8 team, the Tigers are geared for a run at the Minnesota River Conference title.
