The Panthers and Lighting hope a victory in this matchup sparks a late-season rally.

Eastview freshman Abby Lien has the flashy bat for the Lightning, recording multi-hit games against Edina (three) on April 16 and Apple Valley (two) on April 23. Senior pitcher Kerrigan Hoshaw is 3-3 and has allowed 23 hits while posting a .057 ERA and 38 strikeouts through 37 innings of work. Eastview is 5-2 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

Sophomore Hailey Forshee had a home run and a single on her way to four RBI in a 10-6 win over Eden Prairie on April 16 -- the first of four consecutive victories for the Panthers. Lakeville North, ranked No. 4 in the Class 3A coaches poll, is 6-3 overall, but a 2-3 conference record has last year's No. 1-ranked team in the lower half of the standings.
