Buffalo at St. Francis

St. Francis blew a three-run lead in the seventh inning and lost at Buffalo 6-5 last season. Elisabeth King, now a senior, had one of Bison's three hits, two RBI and scored a run in the game.

St. Francis is tied with Cambridge-Isanti for first in the Mississippi 8 Conference Red Division with a 3-1 record and is 8-2 overall. Seven of those wins came during a hot streak from April 7-17 in which the Fighting Saints outscored opponents 47-20.

Emma Lero went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Bobbijean Miller was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI as St. Francis defeated North Branch 8-7 on April 20. Sydney Boelter finished with two hits, including a double, and two runs scored, while Abby Marron also had two hits and two runs scored. Kylie Almendinger had a triple and an RBI for the Fighting Saints.

Buffalo leads the Mississippi 8 Conference Blue Division with a 3-0 conference record and is 5-2 overall. The Bison's losses came against Metro West Conference powerhouse Chanhassen and No. 6-3A Spring Lake Park. They've outscored opponents 36-12 in their five wins.

Payton Speckel allowed six hits and five runs while striking out 11 in a complete-game performance as Buffalo defeated Cambridge-Isanti 6-5 on April 23. She also had two hits.

Autumn Senger finished with two hits, including a home run, while Kallie Wycoff and Mackenzie Johnson each finished with two hits, one RBI and one run scored in the win.
