Kasson-Mantorville, ranked No. 2 in Class 2A, rebounded from a 2-0 loss to Mankato East on April 17 by winning five straight. The KoMets improved to 14-1 overall (9-0 Hiawatha Valley Conference) with a 10-0 win over Rochester Lourdes on April 28. They are outscoring opponents 81-7. 

Purdue recruit Maddie Damon is 9-1 in with a 0.22 ERA, 151 strikeouts and 14 hits allowed in 64 innings of work.

Sophomore Gabby Sprang earned her ninth win on April 30 as she struck out 11 Burnsville batters in a complete-game shutout for the second time this season. The No. 10-ranked Irish improved to 10-4 overall and gained sole possession of first place in the South Suburban Conference with a 7-1 record.
