Bloomington Jefferson's 8-1 loss to the host Lightning (No. 11-3A) in the Eastview Tournament on May 2 was the Jaguars' first of the season, but they rebounded with three straight wins, including an 11-1 victory over No. 1-3A Maple Grove in the tournament.

No. 2-3A Bloomington Jefferson is 16-1 overall and atop the Metro West Conference standings with an 11-0 record.

Junior third baseman Mackenzie Houston leads the team with three home runs, three triples and 24 RBI.

After beginning the season with five straight wins, Benilde-St. Margaret's has traded wins and losses en route to a 9-6 overall record and a 6-5 conference mark.

Senior first baseman Maddie Houlihan leads the team offensively with 28 hits, 21 RBI and 17 stolen bases.

Although the Red Knights' conference title hopes are out of reach, they look to dent the Jaguars' pristine league record.
