St. Paul Como Park at Visitation
4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 6

Visitation ended last season ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, but the Blazers may find the top spot in this year's poll hard to come by after moving up to Class 3A and graduating starting pitcher Kierstin Anderson-Glass.

Senior Sarah Otto steps into the ace pitcher role after sharing pitching duties with Anderson-Glass last year. The two guided Visitation to a 20-5 record and the program's first state tournament bid last year. The Blazers lost to New Ulm in the state quarterfinals and Le Sueur-Henderson in the consolation bracket.

St. Paul Como Park, which was a win shy of reaching the Class 2A, Section 4 championship game, went 18-7 and shared the St. Paul City Conference title with St. Paul Highland Park last year.

The Cougars, who also move into Class 3A this season, return all-section pitcher Kathryn Proper, while all-conference infielder Cassie Prescott and all-conference honorable mention selections Emma Hartmann, Rebekah Hausman, Brianna Menssen and Delilah Wolf are also back.
