Buffalo at Rogers
4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 12

Although Rogers shared last year’s conference title with Buffalo, the Royals can likely avoid that scenario this season with a win over the Bison on Thursday.

Rogers (12-1, 10-0) fields a senior-dominated lineup, while Buffalo (14-2, 8-1) relies largely on its sophomores.

Katelyn Kemmetmueller is one of the seniors the Royals look to, and she’s among the state’s best pitchers with an 8-0 record, 0.28 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 50 innings. The Minnesota commit is also hitting .500 with 15 RBI. Senior Emily Hanford bolsters the lineup with a .325 batting average and a team-high 17 RBI.

The Bison's sophomore group includes third baseman Emily Hansen (team-leading .579 batting average along with 15 RBI), outfielder Sarah Hudson (team-high 25 RBI and .418 batting average) and pitcher Morgan DeMarais (2-2, 1.59 ERA, 116 strikeouts in 88 innings).
