Badger/Greenbush-Middle River at Warroad
5 p.m., Tuesday, May 10

In the first meeting of the season, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River scored all of its runs on two Warroad errors in a 3-2 victory. The Warriors will need to cut down the miscues to better their shot at upsetting the Gators in the rematch on Tuesday.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River has won its last nine games and scored 13 or more runs in its past three, including a 14-10 victory over East Grand Forks on April 28. Danielle Hoyer hit a home run and Carly Mekash went 4-for-5 for the No. 7-1A Gators (11-2) in the win.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River also earned a 2-1 win over previously-ranked Red Lake Falls on May 3 to gain an edge in seeding for the Class 1A, Section 8 tournament.

Warroad (10-2) has won five straight behind Melody Kuehn and Madison Plovie, who have 14 RBI apiece. Plovie carries a .432 batting average while Kuehn is hitting .436.

Kuehn went 2-for-2 with a run scored and Elise Anderson had two RBI for the Warriors in the loss to the Gators on April 19.
