Eagan at Prior Lake
4:15 p.m., Monday, May 16

The South Suburban Conference title will be on the line when Eagan and Prior Lake the last two teams with perfect league records meet in their final conference game of 2016.

The No. 8-4A Wildcats (13-3, 6-0) have wins over No. 7-4A Bloomington Jefferson and No. 9-4A Eastview, but Eagan will have to find a way to slow down a potent Lakers lineup.

Prior Lake’s pitching was the team’s strength coming into the season, but its lineup has put up strong numbers, posting more than eight runs per game. Jocelyn Kirk has been a big factor for the Lakers (15-1, 9-0) offense, and the sophomore went 4-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI against Lakeville South in a 9-7 victory on May 10.

The talented offense nearly rallied for a victory last Thursday in the top of the seventh inning against Forest Lake, but the Rangers held on for a 5-4 victory and handed Prior Lake its first loss of the season.
