Zimmerman will get a chance to pull even with No. 7-3A Becker in the Granite Ridge Conference standings with a win over the Bulldogs Tuesday.

But getting a victory against Becker (13-4, 8-0) might come tough for the Thunder (11-5, 8-1), which lost the first meeting 5-3. Bulldogs pitcher Brianna Corey struck out nine and gave up three runs on eight hits in that game.

All five of Zimmerman’s losses have come by two or fewer runs.
