Hastings and Maple Grove expect to make deep postseason runs and Monday's game will provide a late-season test for both before the playoffs begin.

The Raiders (13-3-1, 12-1) reached the Class 3A, Section 1 championship last season but moved to Class 4A, Section 3 this year and have to navigate a challenging field that includes top-ranked Park of Cottage Grove, Eastview, Eagan and Rosemount.

The Crimson (10-6, 7-4) will try to extend their state tournament trip streak to a fifth consecutive year in Class 4A, Section 5. That field includes Spring Lake Park, Centennial and Osseo.
