Champlin Park vs. Maple Grove
4:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 11

With Brittney Davis, a Toledo recruit, in the lineup, Champlin Park is going to be a force in the Northwest Suburban Conference this season. Davis hit .537 and drove in 22 runs to go with three home runs last year. Additional offensive firepower will come from sophomore Holly Blaska, who batted .429 with 16 RBI and stole 11 bases in 2016. The lineup is also bolstered by Jordan Johnson, who hit .412 with 17 RBI last season.

The Rebels finished in the middle of the Northwest Suburban last season and will try to move up the ranks behind returning pitcher Taylor Sloat, who went 9-9 with a 2.66 ERA last season.

Maple Grove is usually in the mix of conference contenders in the Northwest Suburban and will try to get there again after a 16-10 campaign last year.

The Crimson bring back the majority of their lineup, including starting pitcher Lauren Anderson, who went 12-8 with 80 strikeouts and 29 walks in 133 innings last year. Erin Roehl, who led Maple Grove with 28 RBI and hit .434, paces the returners in the lineup. Marie Pallansch is also back after hitting .463 with 15 stolen bases last season.
