East Ridge vs. Park of Cottage Grove

East Ridge and Park of Cottage Grove — two conference rivals that are also in the same school district — will renew their rivalry early this season with younger rosters.

The Raptors (0-1) have just three seniors this season but return senior pitcher Hannah Stegeman and junior pitcher Alexandra Retica.

East Ridge opened the season with a 10-6 loss to New Prague last Friday in New Prague.

The Wolfpack has just two seniors, but showed last season that their young team can compete with a fifth-place finish at the Class 4A state tournament in coach Bob Loshek’s seventh year.

Park brings back all-conference players Madi Meduna, Alayna Silvis and Hanna Mortenson.
