Anoka vs. Spring Lake Park

Anoka is just a year removed from back-to-back state tournament appearances and still features pitcher Amber Elliott, a first team Class 4A all-state selection. Elliott has split time with Molly Swenson this season and the Tornadoes (2-0, 2-0) have given up just one run so far.

Elliott has also gone 3-for-6 in the first two games with two RBI. Alyssa Wicks leads the team with three RBI.

Spring Lake Park seeks a return trip to state after emerging through Class 4A, Section 5 last year behind the play of standout pitcher Halley Jones.

Jones registered 15 strikeouts in a 10-1 win over Andover on April 13 and will look to help keep the Panthers (3-1, 2-0) perfect in conference play against Anoka.
