Prior Lake vs. Eastview
4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19

After a season-opening 5-2 loss to Farmington on April 11, Prior Lake bounced back with an 8-2 win on over Eastview on April 12 and a 3-0 win over Burnsville on April 13. The Lakers (2-1, 2-1) finished second in the South Suburban Conference last year and will be looking to make another run at the title this season.

Abby Sagert has five RBI and is hitting .500 through the first three games for Prior Lake while Kailey Ahlstrom and Mackenzie Hoeg have split pitching duties thus far. Ahlstrom has a 2.19 ERA with 27 strikeouts and Hoeg won her start in the first game against the Lightning by allowing two runs on just four hits.

Eastview (2-2, 1-2) has struggled to hit the ball in the early going, managing just three runs in its last two games. The Lightning had just one hit in a 4-1 loss to Farmington on April 13. Even in the 5-4 win against Burnsville, Eastview managed just five hits.

There is some hope for jumpstarting the Lightning offense. Abby Lien is hitting .429 with a home run and Olivia Weinberg has gone 2-for-5 with three runs.
