Stillwater vs. Park of Cottage Grove

Stillwater has sped out to a 6-0 start, recording big victories over No. 2-4A Forest Lake (9-1) and Rosemount (4-3). The No. 7-4A Ponies will try to improve their ranking but will need to be in top form to beat No. 3-4A Park of Cottage Grove.

Pitcher Emma Murphy has helped lead Stillwater (6-0, 4-0) to the top of the Suburban East Conference standings. Murphy gave up only two hits and three walks in the victory over the Rangers on April 13. She has gotten plenty of run support with the Ponies averaging more than seven runs a game.

The Wolfpack (6-1, 4-1) are the reigning conference champions and trail Stillwater by a game after a 7-2 loss to Forest Lake on April 12. Park of Cottage Grove has won its last three games, including a 3-2 decision over No. 8-4A Woodbury on April 21.

Delaney Young drove in all three runs in the win over the Royals and Hanna Mortenson got the win after allowing two runs on two hits.
