Woodbury vs. Forest Lake
1 p.m., Saturday, April 29

Forest Lake won its season opener 3-2 against Woodbury, but the Royals have a chance to shake up the Suburban East Conference standings by taking down the Rangers.

Ashley Mickschl has not only been pitching for Woodbury (2-2, 2-2), but has been swinging the bat well so far this season. Mickschl has a .538 batting average while going 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA and eight strikeouts from the circle.

Forest Lake (8-1, 5-1) lost its slim edge in the conference after a 9-1 loss to No. 7-4A Stillwater. However, the No. 2-4A Rangers will be content with the 4-1 start considering it faced Woodbury, Park of Cottage Grove and the Ponies in succession to begin the year.

Forest Lake has a balanced lineup with Mia Schmidtke leading the team with four RBI. Five others have three RBI and Avery Jorgenson leads the team with a .533 batting average.
