Windom Area vs. Pipestone Area

Windom Area and Pipestone will meet for a doubleheader on Thursday in a Big South showdown.

The Eagles (7-1, 3-1) will try to hand the No. 1-2A Arrows (6-0, 2-0) their first loss, and come in with some momentum following an 11-1 win over Adrian on April 20. Ellie Maricle hit a two-run home run and finished with four RBI in the game. She also pitched well, surrendering only three hits.

Mandi Miller hit a pair of two-run home runs for Pipestone in a doubleheader matchup it won 9-1 and 5-1 over St. James Area.

Taylor Nesvold, a first team all-state selection for the Arrows, leads the offense while Shelby Bloemendaal, a first team all-state pitcher, leads the pitching staff. Pipestone finished fifth at last year’s Class 2A state tournament and will be looking for an even better finish this season.
