New Prague, a state tournament entrant last year, might not crack the top 10 rankings; but it has tallied quality wins this season, including a 10-2 victory over No. 1-3A Mankato West on April 8, and most recently, a 3-2 decision over Orono on April 28.

Emily Schmitz went 2-for-2 with a run against the Spartans and Nichole Reed drove in two runs for the Trojans (12-0, 3-0). Mia Kraimer allowed two runs on three hits and struck out six for the win.

Abby Sagert leads Prior Lake (9-1, 6-1) with 11 RBI and is hitting .469 for her team, which looks to extend its nine-game winning streak. Alexandra Pinkowski is hitting .500 with nine RBI while Jocelyn Kirk has nine RBI and a .424 batting average.

Kailey Ahlstrom has provided exception pitching for the No. 7-4A Lakers with a 7-1 record. Ahlstrom has a .77 ERA in 54.1 innings. She’s struck out 92 and walked just 12.
