Stillwater vs. Forest Lake

Stillwater suffered a 5-2 defeat to Woodbury on April 24, bouncing the No. 9-4A Ponies from the top spot in the Suburban East Conference while also surrendering its first loss of the season. Stillwater (7-1, 5-1) responded with a 15-3 bounce-back victory over Mounds View on April 28.

Cleopatra Nystrom and Haley Eder-Zdechlik each finished 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs against the Mustangs, and pitcher Emma Murphy held Mounds View to three runs for the win.

Forest Lake (9-2, 6-2) lost the first meeting with the Ponies 9-1 on April 13 but hadn't lost again until April 29, when Woodbury defeated the Rangers 5-2.

Megan Baniecke is hitting .500 with a team-high 12 RBI. She also carries a 1.31 ERA in 48 innings with 77 strikeouts and holds a 7-2 record.

Baniecke gave up five runs in the first inning against Stillwater back in April, but hadn’t given up more than two runs in her other starts for the No. 2-4A Rangers before the loss to Woodbury.
