Anne Debertin is looking forward to the snow melting quickly to begin her final high school softball season. Debertin, a catcher for the Blazers, also was a member of the volleyball team in the fall. Here is a closer look at Debertin:

The best movie I’ve seen in the past year: “Skyfall.”

What are your three favorite apps? Twitter; Wanelo; and T-zero, so I can see how many days left until break.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? Ellen DeGeneres, because she is so successful. But yet, she can joke around, play pranks on her co-workers and post hilarious tweets.

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe you? Competitive; compassionate; light-hearted.

How did you get started in sports? When I was little, I played almost every single sport offered, and just like any young 7-year-old, I stuck with the ones where I had the most friends. For softball, I have played with some of the same girls for seven years.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … scared. I was catching for a very fast pitcher, and I had only played first base.

What did you work on most in the offseason? College applications and trying to avoid senior slide.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? The high school state volleyball tournament! [She was a member of the Blazers’ state tournament teams in 2010 and 2011].

Do you have a secret talent —and if so, what is it? I can ride a unicycle.

In 10 years, I hope I’m … working as a dentist.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? Try to go to bed each day with no regrets.
