Hailey Lundquist’s most memorable moment as a high school athlete came two years ago when the Raiders won the Class 3A state championship. At my first varsity practice, I felt … pumped up and ready to go. The softball program does a great job of making sure the younger girls transition right into varsity and can be successful.
If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? I wish girls’ athletics received more recognition.
How do you balance school and sports? Study halls are my best friend, and teachers are very flexible when they can meet you to help you out. I never have to miss practice to make stuff up or ask questions.
Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? The Minnesota Wild! Who wouldn’t want to watch Zach Parise?
