Anderson-Glass was instrumental in the Blazers winning eight of their first nine games. She was 5-0 with a 0.84 ERA as a pitcher and also batted .522 during that span. Here is a closer look at Anderson-Glass:

The best movie I’ve seen in the last year? “Frozen.” It was so cute.

Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Dedicated, hardworking and friendly.

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are … “This Means War” by Avenged Sevenfold; “Painkiller” by Three Days Grace, and “Dead But Rising” by Volbeat.

How did you get started playing softball? My grandpa, who I call papa, got me started pitching with a tennis ball when I was 2 years old.

What do you work on most in the offseason? I try to improve all of my abilities, especially pitching and hitting.

To get focused for a game, I … turn on my favorite playlist and think about what I need to do to help the team win the game.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? Getting to the Class 2A, Section 4 finals last year. That was really cool. [Visitation lost to St. Anthony 4-2 in the championship].

What are your goals for the remainder of the softball season? I would like to make it to the Class 2A state tournament. I know it would mean a lot to one of my coaches, Bill “Ski.” [assistant coach Bill Maleitzke]

What is the best sports advice you ever received? Never underestimate your opponent, and always give 110 percent.
