The top eight teams in the South Suburban Conference -- arguably the state's most competitive conference -- are separated by just two and half games.
In our Top Game of the Week, Lakeville North and Eastview square off with an opportunity to make up ground in the conference standings.
Back-to-back conference losses to Shakopee and Farmington left the Panthers in seventh place, two games behind league leaders Rosemount and Prior Lake.
Meanwhile, Eastview sits a half-game ahead of Lakeville North after snapping a two-game skid with a 5-1 win over Apple Valley on April 23.
As they round the season's the halfway point, Lakeville North and Eastview have little margin for error.
