• BURNSVILLE 5, MINNETONKA 0: The Blaze scored three times in the first inning, giving senior pitcher Kelsey Anderson all the support she would need against the Skippers. Anderson threw a two-hitter while striking out 10, leading unbeaten Burnsville to its fifth consecutive victory. Anderson also went 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBI, both coming on a bases-loaded double in the first. Megan Threlkeld also drove in two runs for the Blaze.
• HOPKINS 8, EASTVIEW 1: Junior Abby Whritenour belted a three-run homer in the Royals’ nonconference victory over the Lightning. Whritenour’s blast came with Hopkins holding a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning.
• HASTINGS 7, CRETIN-DERHAM HALL 1: Hastings belted three home runs, winning the battle of the Raiders in the Suburban East. Senior Britt Robinson, junior Lori Bauer and sophomore Hailey Lundquist all went deep for Hastings.
