Lehnen wins it for Burnsville in 13th

CLASS 3A

SECTION 3: Senior center fielder Meghan Lehnen excels in pressure situations. Lehnen delivered a run-scoring single with two outs in the bottom of the 13th inning, giving No. 1-ranked Burnsville a 1-0 victory over Eastview in the opening game of the Final Four at Eagan High School on Wednesday afternoon. Lehnen’s single scored courtesy runner sophomore Erica Belter, who was running for senior and winning pitcher Kelsey Anderson. She singled to lead off the 13th inning. Anderson only allowed five hits, and retired 20 consecutive batters during one stretch. Eastview losing pitcher junior Paige Palkovich allowed eight hits.

• SECTION 1: Senior Treya Connell hurled a no-hitter while striking out 10 as Hastings shut out Rochester Century 10-0 in the quarterfinals. Shortstop Britt Robinson led the offense, going 3-for-3 with a single, double and triple and two RBI.

CLASS 2A

• SECTION 4: Junior Haley Larson came up big for St. Paul Johnson, knocking in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the ninth as the Governors (16-3) moved into the championship with a 7-6 victory over Visitation in the semifinals. Junior Maddie VonHinueber reached base to start the inning, and moved over to third with one out before Larson knocked her in. Senior Jenna Dushaw, who ranks in the top 10 in the metro for RBI, homered for Johnson. … Juniors Kenzie Hadler
(3-for-3, three RBI, three runs scored) and Sarah Birnbaum (3-for-4, two RBI) had big days at the plate for St. Anthony in its 10-2 victory over Minnehaha Academy in the other semifinal. Junior Becca Bates went the distance and struck out four for the victory.
