The march toward a fourth straight Class 1A championship took a big step forward for New Life Academy on Thursday morning at Caswell Park.

The Eagles belted 11 hits - four from leadoff hitter Lauren St. John - en route to a 13-0 victory over Osakis in five innings.

Rebekah Schmidt struck out 11 batters while allowing just two hits in the game. Batting out of the eighth spot, Lauren Anders recorded four RBI for the Eagles, who took advantage of four Osakis errors.
