Nybo slugged two homers to lead the Royals past the Sabers 13-3

She didn't hit the man-fence, but Hopkins senior Hayley Nybo made her presence felt anyway.

The Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year clubbed two home runs Thursday morning at Caswell Park, leading the Royals to a 13-3 victory over Shakopee in the Class 3A quarterfinals.

Genevieve Grahek and Allison Schaefer also went yard for the Royals, who finished with 16 hits in the game and broke the game open with a seven-run third inning.

The Sabers' Ashley Walker was tagged for 11 of the 13 runs in the game, but struck out 10 Hopkins batters.

Morgan Nybo struck out five for the Royals.
