Le Sueur-Henderson at Jordan
5 p.m., Tuesday, April 7

Two losses to Le Sueur-Henderson separated Jordan from third place and the Minnesota River Conference title last season.

The Jaguars went 13-6 in the regular season, but lost 2-0 to Le Sueur in the Class 2A, Section 2. Frehsman Lydia Plechaty and junior Paige Pitlick are among seven returning starters. Pitlick maintained a 1.93 ERA last season and will be backed up by speedy centerfielder and lead off hitter Brooke Sievers.

The Giants fell to powerhouse Kasson-Mantorville in the state championship last season, but with 13-game winner Carlie Brandt returning to the mound they could be ready for a return trip to the big game.

Brandt, a junior, and sophomore Mikayla Renhardt combined for 35 RBIs and 26 stolen bases last season.
