Defending Lake Conference champion Hopkins gets its first look at Wayzata since the two played in last season's Class 3A, Section 6 tournament.

The Trojans upset third-seeded Orono 5-2 in the playoffs before losing to the Royals in the consolation bracket.

Top-seeded Hopkins eventually fell to Buffalo 6-4 in the section title game.

The Royals return all-conference selections Brenna Falk, a senior outfielder, and junior third baseman Hannah Kleist.
