Four-time Class 2A, Section 3 champion New Ulm will find out what life is like in Class 3A after a move to Section 2 this season, which includes perennial powers Mankato East and Mankato West.

The Eagles (0-1) , who won back-to-back Class 2A titles in 2012 and 2013, dropped their first game of the season 4-2 to new section opponent Hutchinson, but return to their Big South Conference schedule when they meet St. Peter.

New Ulm finished 22-6 overall and 13-0 in the league last year, while the Saints went 17-8 and 9-3 in the conference.

Brittany Denn, an all-state first team selection last season, is one of nine returning seniors for the Eagles.
