New Life Academy at St. Agnes

New Life Academy continues to adjust after graduating a talented class that claimed the Class 1A state title for the fifth time in school history.

The Eagles (1-1, 1-0) routed Legacy Christian 21-1 in the season opener but lost 16-8 to St. Croix Lutheran in the next game.

St. Agnes (6-1, 3-0) is off to a blistering start that includes a 13-2 win over St. Croix Lutheran. The Aggies' only loss thus far came against Minnehaha Academy in an 8-7 game.

Sophomore Naomi Hoke has 17 RBI in seven games and is hitting .429 for St. Agnes. Freshman outfielder Lily Hafner has driven in 11 RBI and is batting .423 and senior pitcher Anna Fossand has a .476 batting average with 10 RBI. Fossand has a 2.79 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings from the circle.

Both the Aggies and New Life Academy moved up to Class 2A, Section 4 this season.
