Eagan at Eastview
4:15 p.m., Thursday, April 21

Eagan made the rest of the South Suburban Conference take notice after season-opening 6-4 wins against Rosemount and Lakeville South.

The Wildcats (2-0, 2-0) scored all six of their runs in the first two innings against the Irish, who had Hailey Sickler throw the first two innings before Gabby Sprang tossed the final five.

Eagan will get another huge test when it faces Eastview, last year's Class 3A state champion.

The Lightning (2-0, 2-0) got the season started with a 4-3 win over Lakeville North as sophomore Grace Gall scattered nine hits and struck out eight for the win against the Panthers.

Then on April 14, senior outfielder Sam Gall paced the offense in a 12-0 win over Apple Valley with four RBI, and Hailey Monroe went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs. Grace Gall allowed three hits and struck out seven to move to 2-0 on the year.
