Zumbrota-Mazeppa at Rochester Lourdes

After Zumbrota-Mazeppa’s 9-7 win over rival Kasson-Mantorville on April 12, the Cougars are the lone unbeaten team in the Hiawatha Valley League standings and appear to have the inside track on claiming a conference crown for the first time since 2012.

Rochester Lourdes (4-1, 3-1) could be a team that derails Zumbrota-Mazeppa, though it appears to be a tough task slowing the Cougars, who have outscored opponents 82-0 in their last four games.

Morgan Olson has been dialed in for Zumbrota-Mazeppa (8-0, 4-0). The senior pitcher finished one out shy of a perfect game and struck out eight last Tuesday in a 10-0, five-inning win over Goodhue. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a two-run home run.
