Chanhassen earned shutout victories over St. Louis Park and Richfield during a 3-0 run a week ago, but the Storm's schedule gets tougher with a game against Buffalo on Thursday.

Jess Bren had a three-run home run and pitcher Maddie Schwartz recorded a school-record 17 strikeouts to lead Chanhassen to an 8-0 victory over the Orioles on April 26. Bren is hitting .528 with 21 RBI and five home runs this season while Schwartz is 3-0 with a 0.30 ERA and 42 strikeouts in pitching 23 innings.

Marybeth Olson also has five home runs and is hitting .469 with 11 RBI for No. 4-4A Chanhassen (8-2, 5-1).

Buffalo pitcher Morgan DeMarais held No. 2-3A Becker to one run on three hits and struck out nine in a 2-1 home victory last Friday.

Nicole Goeb hit a solo home run and Kallie Wycoff drove in a run against the Royals, helping the No. 12-4A Bison (12-1, 7-1) win their third straight game.
