4:30 p.m., Friday, May 6

Metro West Conference-leading Bloomington Jefferson tries to remain undefeated in league play when it meets a plucky St. Louis Park team on Friday.

Following two losses at the Forest Lake Ranger Classic on April 23, the No. 2-4A Jaguars got back to business last week with a 10-0 rout of No. 3-3A Benilde-St. Margaret’s and a 6-1 victory over crosstown rival Bloomington Kennedy.

Bloomington Jefferson won the season’s first meeting with St. Louis Park, taking advantage of multiple Orioles' errors in the 10-0 drubbing. Linnea Carlyle went 4-for-4 with two RBI while Rachel Evavold knocked in two runs and Alyson Plaman went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI.

The Jaguars (7-2, 6-0) also stole seven bases, including three by Mackenzie Houston.

St. Louis Park (4-2, 2-2) has struggled with strikeouts against the top two teams in the league, recording 11 versus against Bloomington Jefferson’s Hailey Martinez and 17 against Chanhassen’s Maddie Schwartz
