Warroad at East Grand Forks
5 p.m., Friday, May 6

Olivia Lien is leading Warroad with a .522 batting average and has five RBI. Lien, who struck out just three times in 66 at-bats last season, went 3-for-4 in an 11-0 win over Roseau and 4-for-4 in a 6-4 loss to No. 8-2A Dilworth-Glydon-Felton this season.

Lien and the rest of the Warriors, who missed last year’s Class 2A, Section 8 championship game after a loss to Hawley in the consolation semifinal, face an East Grand Forks team that owns a quality 7-5 win over No. 15-1A Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdahl.

The Green Wave (6-2) opened the year on a six-game winning streak but closed April with consecutive losses to No. 9-1A Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (14-10) and No. 8-1A Red Lake Falls (11-5).
