Blaine vs. Totino-Grace
4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 11

Blaine (9-2, 6-1) is still in the hunt for a Northwest Suburban Conference title despite a 3-0 loss to conference leader Anoka on May 2. The No. 7-4A Bengals will have to get past No. 6-3A Totino-Grace in order to keep those title aspirations alive.

Taylor Bross, an Augustana commit, has been hitting well this season. Bross is hitting .405 with 18 RBI and is coming off a 1-for-3 performance in a 3-0 win over Elk River on May 4. Mary Pardo carries a .515 batting average and has seven RBI in her last two games. Pardo went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI against the Elks.

Totino-Grace (11-2, 6-1) might be able tame the Blaine lineup with pitcher Erin Poepping. Poepping is 8-1 with a .98 ERA in 64 innings, striking out 63 and walking only 17. Poepping also swings a hot bat, leading the team with 22 RBI while hitting .477.

The Eagles have won six straight games since a 6-1 loss to Anoka on April 28.
