Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian (12-1, 5-0) will get its first test against a ranked opponent when it meets fellow southwest Minnesota power Pipestone Area. 

Flying Dutchmen head coach Andrew Fleischman earned his 200th career victory on May 4 when No. 2-1A Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian defeated Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove 12-1. Liz Buckridge went 4-for-4 with four RBI and allowed one run on two hits in the win.

Pipestone Area’s head coach Troy Bouman hit a milestone as well, winning his 400th career game on April 24 against Redwood Valley with a 20-0 victory in the first game of a doubleheader.

Pitcher Shelby Bloemendaal, and teammate Taylor Nesvold, who are Class 2A first team all-state selections, have led the Arrows (13-0, 8-0) to an undefeated start. Pipestone Area has allowed just nine runs this season.
