She’s the starting catcher for Sleepy Eye St. Mary's, and similar to hockey, Beltz is a force for her team. She helped the Knights reach the Class 1A state tournament a season ago and will be relied upon to provide leadership at the plate -- and behind it -- as the team hopes to again make noise this postseason.

With her season (slowly) getting underway, the MN Softball Hub took some time to talk to Beltz about being a high school athlete and what’s ahead for her following graduation.
