And the winner is...MN Softball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Softball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Jaelyn Orth, Henry Sibley. The junior pitcher led the Warriors to three wins last week — tossing a total of 19 shutout innings in wins over St. Agnes, South St. Paul and Hastings, all previously undefeated. The junior allowed 10 total hits in the three games while racking up 17 strikeouts. At the plate, she went 7-for-11 with two triples and seven RBI.

Top performer candidates

Ava Dueck, Maple Grove. Dueck struck out 10 batters and gave up one walk and one hit in a 10-0 win over Robbinsdale Armstrong on April 16. At the plate, she recorded three RBI with a double and home run. Two days later, her nine-strikeout, seven-shutout-inning performance led to a 5-0 win against Andover. Her lone hit came on a two-run home run.

Gracie Fisher, Bemidji. The junior third baseman's first three hits of the season — a single and two home runs — accounted for an impressive seven RBI in the Lumberjacks' 10-3 win over Hibbing on April 16. She hit two singles in the next game, a 10-4 win over Grand Forks Central (N.D.), and recorded one RBI. 

Brynn Hostettler, Northfield. The sophomore pitched the Raiders to two wins last week, the first a 12-0 victory over Kasson-Mantorville on April 15. Walking two batters and striking out 14, Hostettler pitched five hitless innings in the win. The next day her 13 strikeouts in seven innings pushed Northfield to an 8-1 win over Mankato East. She finished the week with two hits and two RBI in the Raiders' 16-0 win against Owatonna on April 18.

Isabel Northrop, Winona Cotter. The senior pitcher recorded a school- and career-high 20 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Lewiston-Altura on April 15. Northrop pitched seven innings, allowed two hits and walked one batter.
