And the winner is...MN Softball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Softball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Mack Wolterstorff, Irondale. The senior pitcher was solid on the circle in three close games last week, earning wins against South St. Paul (2-0), Robbinsdale Armstrong (3-1) and Edina (2-1). Wolterstorff pitched 22 innings total — allowing one earned run on 12 hits while striking out 13. In the win over Edina, she went 1-for-3 at the plate and knocked in both the Knights' runs.

Top performer candidates

McKayla Armbruster, Faribault. The senior earned three wins in three games last week, the final being a 3-1, 15-inning victory over Rochester John Marshall on April 26. Armbruster struck out 33 batters in the win — the second-most in a single game in state history, according to the Minnesota State High School League. Armbruster pitched 31 innings throughout the week. She tallied 60 strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs and 10 hits. 

Josie Dorf, East Ridge. The senior connected for three hits in the Raptors' 16-6 win against Mounds View on April 25. Dorf hit a home run, recorded seven RBI and scored three runs. The day earlier in a 5-0 win over Roseville, she batted 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI. 

Kaylee Harnack, Minnehaha Academy. The senior catcher led the Redhawks offense to victories against Breck (17-2) and St. Paul Como Park (12-6) last week. In the two games combined, Harnack went 5-for-8 with a walk, five home runs and 13 RBI. 

Mackenzie Jones, Willmar. The sophomore pitcher tossed 13 innings in a doubleheader (both wins) against Alexandria on April 23. Jones pitched in all seven innings of the first game, a 2-0 win, and gave up three hits and struck out 18 batters. Jones then pitched six innings — allowing one unearned run on three hits and recording another 14 strikeouts — in a 4-1 win in the second game.
