Faribault's Armbruster named Miss Softball

Faribault senior pitcher McKayla Armbruster was named 2019 Ms. Minnesota Softball Sunday by the Minnesota Minutemen.

Armbruster led the Falcons to the 2018 Class 3A state championship. This season, she posted a 17-1 record during the regular season with an 0.30 ERA and 292 strikeouts in 139 innings pitched.

She will play at MSU, Mankato next season.

The other finalists for the award were Ava Dueck of Class 4A champion Maple Grove, the Star Tribune’s Metro Player of the Year; Holly Blaska of Champlin Park; Claire Bakkerstuen of Forest Lake; Bryanna Olson of Park of Cottage Grove; Tori Chute of Stillwater; and Olivia Hazelbaker of Farmington.
