April 28: No team this season has been able to impose limits on the Irish sophomore, but a talented and experienced Panthers squad looks to take their shot.

Other games to keep an eye on

Northfield vs. Mankato West, 5 p.m., Thursday, April 29. The last time these teams played, Northfield took home the 2019 Class 3A championship trophy with an 8-3 victory. The team has since moved up to Class 4A and Raiders pitcher Brynn Hostettler returns to lead a team expected to go far this season. A largely remade Scarlets team is expected to again contend for the Class 3A title.

Shakopee vs. Eastview, 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 28. The Lightning (4-1, 3-1) have fared well with a difficult schedule, meanwhile, the Sabers (2-2, 2-2) face a potentially season-defining week with games at Lakeville North and Eastview.

Maple Grove vs. Andover, 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 29. This Northwest Suburban Conference rivalry game should be a good one. Maple Grove (3-0, 2-0) has outscored opponents 35-2 this spring, while Andover (3-1, 3-1) has scored 40 runs in its three victories.
