And the winner is...MN Softball Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from May 3-8.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Softball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Helene Krage, Centennial. The junior pitcher led two wins for the Cougars last week. In a 14-3 win at Maple Grove on May 3, Krage went 4-for-4, hitting a home run and tallying five RBIs. Two nights later, Krage took the circle and pitched seven innings. She allowed three hits and one earned run, plus she struck out 11 batters. At the plate, she hit her second home run of the season, and recorded three RBIs and leading the Cougars (11-1, 8-0) to a 9-1 victory against Coon Rapids.

Top performer candidates

Courtney Graff, Northfield. The sophomore started her second game of the season in the circle on May 6, recording her second consecutive complete game shutout. Graff gave up two hits and one walk in her seven innings pitched, recording 13 strikeouts as the Raiders (11-2, 10-0) defeated Rochester Century 14-0. 

Avery Hills, Elk River. The senior knocked in seven of the Elks’ 18 runs last week, leading the team to two wins. Hills went 2-for-3 in each game, tallying three total home runs and seven RBIs. The Elks (10-1, 8-0) defeated Anoka 8-1 on May 4 and Champlin Park 10-0 on May 6.

Kennedy Knopp, Red Wing. The sophomore catcher recorded seven RBIs during doubleheader wins against Faribault on May 6. In the first game, Knopp hit four doubles and tallied four RBIs as the Wingers (6-6, 5-5) won 7-6 in eight innings. In the second game, an 18-8 Wingers win, Knopp went 2-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored, and three RBIs.

Becca Masteller, Coon Rapids. The senior pitcher earned her second win of the season as the Cardinals (4-6, 3-5) defeated Park Center 3-1 on May 3. Masteller pitched all seven innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits and a walk. She struck out a season-high 12 batters.
