It was the Kasey Kannegiesser show on Field 3 Thursday at Caswell Park in north Mankato. The New Ulm senior pitched the first 2 1/3 innings then came in for the final 1 2/3 innings in relief to get the 3-2 win in 8 innings for the Eagles.

Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh, New Ulm got a two-out single by Sydney Schuck, the other New Ulm pitcher on the day, to tie the game. Kannegiesser then picked up the game winning RBI in the top of the eighth, driving in Ellie Schneider.
