Mankato East blanks Jefferson

Macy Anderson's double in the bottom of the sixth inning scored the lone run in Mankato East's 1-0 victory Thursday over Bloomington Jefferson.

The Cougars lurked all game, twice stranding runners on third before Anderson's clutch hit.

Nicole Ries went the distance for Mankato East allowing just two hits and striking out eight.
