New Ulm survived a late scare to repeat as Class 2A champions. The Eagles defeated Kasson-Mantorville 1-0 on Friday afternoon at Caswell Park in North Mankato.
The game ended with a Komets baserunner stranded on third base.
New Ulm's run came in the fourth inning. The Eagles' offense had scored 22 combined in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
