North St. Paul and Hastings have battled for the Metro East Conference title since it formed, and the Polars have been cemented atop the conference standings. The two shared the title in 2015, but the Raiders have yet to claim a title outright.
North St. Paul ceded some ground in the standings this season after a 1-0 loss to Hill-Murray on April 18, but got back into the race following a 2-1 win over Hastings on April 24.
The Raiders (10-5, 10-1) have a cushion in the standings, but the Polars (10-2, 8-1) can close the gap with a win.
