May 3

Blake 4, Mounds Park Academy 2. Blake struck early putting up three runs in the first inning. Pitcher Sammy Wagner went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, and teammate Sophia Rohlfsen went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Blake stole three bases, and Wagner earned the win with five strikeouts. Mounds Park Academy got two runs back in the second inning, but couldn’t muster any more offense. Rosy Haas went 3-for-3, and Sara Stone went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

May 3

Minneapolis South 3, Minneapolis Washburn 2. Minneapolis South scored all three runs in the top of the seventh inning, with Olivia Dynneson going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Pitcher Saryn Sherrell went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and earned the win on the mound striking out four. Minneapolis Washburn scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but could not complete the comeback. Phoebe Olson went 2-for-4, and Julia Larson went 1-for-2 with an RBI. Pitcher Ella Vickerman had six strikeouts.

May 5

Holy Angels 4, St. Agnes 3. The No.9-3A Stars trailed 3-2 going into the bottom of the seventh but scored a pair of runs to mount a comeback. Lauren Holtgren led the Stars going 2-for-3 with an RBI, and teammate Riley Thalhuber went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Pitcher Melya Owens earned the win with eight strikeouts. Naomi Hoke led the Aggies going 2-for-4 with a double, and teammate Katie Hathaway contributed with a pair of RBI.

May 5

Holy Angels 4, St. Agnes 3. The No.9-3A Stars trailed 3-2 going into the bottom of the seventh but scored a pair of runs to mount a comeback. Lauren Holtgren led the Stars going 2-for-3 with an RBI, and teammate Riley Thalhuber went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Pitcher Melya Owens earned the win with eight strikeouts. Naomi Hoke led the Aggies going 2-for-4 with a double, and teammate Katie Hathaway contributed with a pair of RBI.

May 5

St. Michael-Albertville 4, St. Francis 3. St. Michael-Albertville found itself down 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, but came through to tie it and force extra innings, before proceeding to score the winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Zoee Miller led St. Michael-Albertville going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI, and teammate Allison Ross went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Pitcher Brooke Burditt earned the win and struck out five. Hailey Heckenlaible went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI for St. Francis. Teammate Kiley Murschel went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

May 6

Chanhassen 2, D.C. Everest 1. No.1-4A Chanhassen edged out D.C. Everest to stay undefeated, extending its win streak to 14 straight games. Marybeth Olson led the Storm going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Olson also had a strong day on the mound earning the win and recording a season-high 16 strikeouts. The Storm scored both runs in the top of the sixth inning to take the lead. D.C. Everest got one run back in the bottom of the seventh, but could not tie the game. Pitcher Miranda Gajewski went 2-for-3 with a double, and recorded eight strikeouts. Teammate Miranda Ostrowski went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

May 8

Edina 10, Holy Angels 7. Going into the fourth inning Edina led 6-0, but the Stars quickly tied the game scoring six runs in the top of the fourth. Edina’s four runs in the bottom of the sixth secured the win against the No.9-3A Holy Angels. Molly McGarry went 2-for-3 with two RBI, and hit her second home run of the season for Edina. Teammate Anna Pins hit a home run, and Hannah Sundem went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Pitcher Genevieve OvSak earned the win with three strikeouts. Lauren Holtgren led the Stars going 4-for-5 with an RBI. Teammate Rachel Kawiecki went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Riley Thalhuber doubled and drove in three.

May 9

Farmington 2, Apple Valley 1. In a marathon-like game, No.4-4A Farmington came out the winner scoring a run in the bottom of the tenth inning. Emma Frost went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Farmington, and teammate Caitie Dully contributed with a double. Apple Valley’s pitcher Sabriya Passmore had a strong game going 3-for-5, and struck out six.
